Gear Review: NEBO OMNI Fish Dock Light

WHAT IS IT?

NEBO OMNI Fish Dock Light

WHAT SETS IT APART?

Weighing 2 pounds, the OMNI Fish Dock Light uses rotating Chip On Board (C.O.B.) panels. C.O.B. is a high-efficiency design that attaches LED chips to a reflective mirror metal surface. The result is a brighter light that consumes less power. Charging is done with the included USB-C cable and a handy power indicator that uses four LED lights above the USB port to instantly show how much juice remains. The OMNI Fish Dock Light includes a 4,000mAh power bank that charges mobile phones, tablets, etc.

HOW DO I USE IT?

When night tournaments or predawn tackle rigging requires illumination, traditional flashlights can be hard to manage when both hands are busy. Cap lights and head lamps are helpful, but a dedicated standup light with adjustable legs and multi-angle beams delivers versatility and convenience. That’s what NEBO offers with its innovative OMNI Fish Dock Light. Made with a non-slip rubber coating, this water and impact-resistant light boasts 450 lumen brightness with four modes, including green and UV.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

What I like about this product is its rugged durability. It’s well made and smartly designed, but it feels more like something you’d find on a construction site (that’s a compliment). On a hunch, I folded the unit’s legs into a tight V, tilted the white light downward and placed the unit on my headboard for an overhead reading lamp. Worked like a charm and the clear connection to the angling lifestyle — late-night map study, Google Earth searches or simply catching up on correspondences and social media stuff.
