Gear Review: Gill Meridian-X Jacket and Bibs

WHAT IS IT?

Gill Meridian-X Jacket and Bibs

WHAT SETS IT APART?

Instead of outsourcing its fabrics, Gill chooses to design its own to meet the company’s uncompromising commitment to quality apparel. You get that with XPEL fabric that delivers exceptional moisture repellency, odor resistance and stain resistance. The consistent levels of performance last for up to 30 washes, and the treatment continues to be effective for up to 50 washes. XPEL will not change the comfort, hand feel or breathability of the fabric. XPEL also controls the odor-producing bacteria to help keep garments naturally odor free. XPLORE is Gill’s two-layer fabric system that delivers superior qualities of waterproof, breathability and durability. You get it all with this bib and jacket. Colors: Shadow Camo, Shadow, Twilight. Sizes: XS-4XL.

HOW DO I USE IT?

The Meridian-X Jacket and Bib were inspired by the unique needs of tournament anglers. The jacket features a three-way volume adjustment with Vortex Hood Technology that streams airflow to keep the hood in place when traveling at high speeds, while the high-cut thermal collar with cushioned face guard provides warmth and comfort. Adjustable double cuffs with a PU liner seal provide watertight comfort around the wrists. A YKK AquaGuard front zip and storm guard provide even more protection from water. Store essentials in the large cargo and chest pockets, and ensure a watertight defense with the double cuffs and shock cord hem.

The bib features a stretch back panel and Velcro shoulder adjustments for flexibility, along with thigh-length zippered legs, adjustable ankle closures and AquaGuard YKK front relief zip. Store tools and essentials in the multiple pockets. Abrasion-resistant panels guard against wear and tear. Adjustable ankle closures are ideal for snug fit with boots.

HOW MUCH?

$375 (Jacket)
