Gear Review: Daiwa Tatula TWS Casting Combo

WHAT IS IT?

Daiwa Tatula TWS Casting Combo

WHAT SETS IT APART?

Daiwa’s new combos are available in four configurations. Rod length options are 7-foot — ideal for jig and worm rigs, small/medium crankbaits and topwaters — and 7-foot, 3-inch — all-around heavy cover, casting larger spinnerbaits and small swimbaits. Built with comfortable EVA split grip handles, both matte finished graphite composite rods are paired with 7.3:1 Tatula CT reels in right- or left-hand retrieves. The reels feature Daiwa’s T-Wing System (TWS), which reduces backlash and helps maximize casting distance.

HOW DO I USE IT?

A conservative tackle budget should not curtail an angler’s ambition, so Daiwa set out to offer the right balance of quality and price. The solution comes by way of the Tatula TWS Casting Combos. From casual local derbies to high school and college bass fishing circuits, plenty of anglers take their bass fishing seriously, even when high-end pro level gear remains out of reach. Not to worry, Daiwa packs quality components and its trusted technology into a lineup of performance combos that won’t break the bank.
