Gear Review: Costa Palmas

WHAT IS IT?

Costa Palmas

WHAT SETS IT APART?

You value Costas for the best protection from glare on the water or anywhere outdoors, while looking good in a pair of sunglasses chosen specifically for your facial size for the perfect fit.

So why not for the same reasons gift a stylish pair of women’s Costas this holiday season to the lady in your life? Key selling point: She will appreciate your thoughtful gift even more if you point out the tech features that will make days in the sun even more enjoyable. Trust me, it worked for me. Here’s your cheat sheet. You are welcome.

The Palmas temples feature a stylish contour that really stands out with the Coral Tortoise frame (pictured). Premium integrated metal hinges and interior detailing provide a long-lasting, high-quality pair of sunglasses.

Above all else, she gets Costa’s premium polarized and color-enhancing 580 lenses that filter reflective glare, while absorbing 100% of UV light, for the best in light management and protection. Translated: She’ll notice vision clarity like never before and especially on the water, reading a book on the beach and driving around town. Frame colors: Coral Tortoise, Black, Teal. Available with Rx lenses.

HOW DO I USE IT?

Costa purposely built in the different lens colors available for the Palmas for specific light conditions, from variable to very bright sun. You’ll need to match the frame color to the preferred available lens color. You can also choose between glass and polycarbonate lenses depending on the frame color. It’s also a must to review the size and fit guide to make sure the Palmas are the proper fit; other frame styles are available to fit everyone. Size for the Palmas is XL with a Regular Fit. You can see the Palmas lens choices and size/fit chart in the More Information link below.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

Style gets high priority for women’s accessories and that goes for sunglasses. The way I see it, choosing premium lenses should be a priority too, as you look through them with the eyes, instead of at them from the outside. You get style and functionality in the same pair of glasses with the Palmas. My wife agreed after testing her Costas against her previous pair, and she appreciated even more the technology that goes into them for clearer vision and better eye protection. What’s even better, with the wide availability of different frame sizes and styles, anyone can get a pair of custom sunglasses like none other.
