Kayak Top Baits: Lake Champlain
At over 100 miles long Lake Champlain provides an incredible fishery where anglers can go for both smallmouth and largemouth bass. The 2025 Newport Bassmaster Kayak Series at Lake Champlain presented by Native Watercraft provided an opportunity for kayak anglers from all across the country to enjoy the great fishing and scenery this lake has to offer. Day 1 offered fantastic conditions for catching a lot of big fish. There were 37 limits over 90 inches turned in from the 158 anglers that participated. Two limits surpassed the century mark caught by Bailey Eigbrett of New York and Nick Audi of PA. They would go 1-2 in the standings with Day 2 cancelled due to unfavorable weather conditions.
