Gear Review: War Eagle Jiu-Jigsu

WHAT IS IT?

War Eagle Jiu-Jigsu Flipping Jig

WHAT SETS IT APART?

The prespawn period can be a perfect time to tie on a big, bulky flipping jig to target those giant bass. Built around an Owner ZO-Wire flipping hook and a precisely angled, heavy-duty weed guard, the War Eagle Jiu Jigsu Flipping Jig is built to give anglers the confidence to fish around the heaviest cover on the lake and haul out the biggest bass.

HOW DO I USE IT?

A modified Arkie style shaped head with a recessed line tie allows the jig to roll over and come through the heaviest cover without getting snagged. The Jiu Jigsu features a wire trailer keeper that will hold your trailer in place if you decide to skip the jig up under a dock or an overhang. Coming in at 5/8-ounce, the Jiu Jigsu is available in 12 different fish-catching colors.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

There’s no shortage of good jigs on the market these days, but the War Eagle Jiu-Jigsu provides the type of features that make a big difference. A 4/0 Owner ZO-Wire flipping hook is a big deal when it comes to hauling big bass out of heavy cover. Before you can hook a monster, you’ve got to make sure the jig has the right head shape and a weed guard that’s strong enough to keep the jig from getting hung up. Tie the Jiu-Jigsu on a big rod with some big line, and get to work this spring.
