WHAT IS IT?
Lew’s KVD Elite Rods
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Drawing upon the exacting standards of the most dominant angler in Bassmaster history — four-time Bassmaster Classic winner Kevin VanDam — Lew’s introduces a new lineup of 19 rods built with serious anglers in mind. Constructed from premium IM8 graphite blanks or composite blanks for crankbait models, each rod benefits from FOCAS technology, which boosts tip strength and overall durability, while maintaining optimal sensitivity. The composite construction of the series’ crankbait rods helps maximize hookup and landing success for multiple reaction style baits.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Lew’s KVD Elite Rods include stainless steel guide frames with inserts made of zirconia — a type of ceramic that offers exceptional hardness and smooth surface. This material provides a superior level of resistance to wear and tear caused by fishing line. For comfort and control, these rods feature a high-density EVA split grip handle. Promoting maximum sensitivity, casting models include full contact reel seats, while spinning models ensure grip and comfort with Lew’s exclusive Comfort Plus reel seats.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
Bearing VanDam’s signature red and black color scheme and KVD crest, these rods exude precision. You still must make your own casts and boat the ones you hook, but a certain confidence arises with the knowledge of the performance principles by which Lew’s designed and constructed the KVD Elite rods. A clever user-friendly feature bespeaking the impeccable organization characteristic of the namesake angler — the Lew’s KVD coding system labeled on each blank identifies each rod action.
