Gear Review: Bajío x Mossy Oak Limited Edition Sunglasses

WHAT IS IT?

Bajío Palometa – Mossy Oak Bottomland (Rose Lenses)

WHAT SETS IT APART?

The limited-edition Palometa frame from Bajío’s Mossy Oak Collection merges technical clarity with timeless outdoor style. Built from Bajío’s lightweight bio-based resin, these shades deliver durability, comfort and a sustainable edge. The Bottomland camouflage pattern adds a stealthy touch that feels right at home in the woods or on the water. What really sets this pair apart, though, are the Rose LAPIS polarized lenses — designed to reduce glare, enhance contrast and make color details pop, especially in low or mixed light. Every element of the Palometa frame, from its medium fit to the built-in magnification zones, is tuned for anglers who rely on sharp vision and all-day comfort.

HOW DO I USE IT?

The Palometa is built for those long, dialed-in fishing days where seeing detail makes all the difference. The Rose LAPIS lenses cut through surface glare while brightening shadows, making them perfect for sight fishing, shallow flats or cloudy conditions. The lightweight frame and rubberized nose pads keep them in place even when things heat up, and the full-coverage wrap design offers total protection from wind and sun. They transition easily from the boat to everyday wear, blending performance with laid-back camo style.

HOW MUCH?

$209 (Polycarbonate lenses); $259 (Glass lenses)

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

I was sent a pair with the rose-colored LAPIS lenses, which were recommended to me. I’ll be honest — I was unsure at first. I primarily bass fish, and I didn’t think rose would be the right choice. But the moment I took them on the water, I realized how wrong I was. These are the kind of shades you forget you’re wearing until you take them off and see just how much glare they were cutting.

The clarity of the glass paired with the contrast and polarization of the rose tint is the best I’ve ever experienced. The lenses make baitfish, grass lines and shadows pop with definition, and the Mossy Oak Bottomland frame adds the perfect mix of performance and personality. I even tried them at my desk and immediately felt my eyes relax, reducing strain from my screen within seconds.

The grippy windshades on the sides are another feature I love — they block stray light and cut down on wind, which is huge for long runs and cold tournament mornings. I’m getting more serious about competition, and I can already tell these will help me stay focused through wind, weather and the fatigue that comes with a full day on the water.

Also these sunglasses come with a free hat and you get to choose from a couple of different hats, so that is an awesome add-on!

Whether I’m fishing, scouting or just running errands, these are the glasses I reach for first.
10/10 — highly recommend.
