Fortunately, I’ve been able to check off a lot of items on my bucket list. But it seems like every time one great trip comes off, another gets added. The good Lord made this big old world and filled it with a whole lot of fish, and that’s a win for all of us.
It took me 30 years, but I had always wanted to catch a blue marlin on my birthday. That finally happened recently in the Gulf. There’s something special about seeing a prayer answered right in front of you, surrounded by good people. Even though I’ve caught blue marlin before, this one hit differently. It got me thinking about everything else still on my fishing bucket list.
