On the water: Day 2 Wheeler Lake

Day 2 on Alabama's Wheeler Lake stated much like the first day. Cool and calm. Randy Howell in the distance is getting his bass on.

As we get positioned to start taking pictures, Howell sets into a nice fish.

Whatever he had on the other end of the line came off, and Howell jumps in frustration, but quickly fires off another cast.

Almost immediately, he hooks up again, this time he plays it softly to the boat.

He flips it into the boat, but it looks like it might be small. It was one of numerous fish that were schooling on bait that Howell quickly adapted to, and it paid off.

Gary Klein had a limit early in the day, and spent the rest of his time looking for a secondary pattern. He said that his bite happened early today and the first day, but his activity basically went flat as the sun came up.
