<p> Matt McCoy of Indiana dropped from first place to seventh place but is still well within striking distance of the leader, 4-4 back, not as big as it sounds on the Mississippi.</p>

<p> These two Iowa anglers know what it takes to win. Both Thad Takes (left) and Terry Fitzpatrick have fished the Bassmaster Classic — Takes in 2004 and Fitzpatrick in 2009 — and both made the cut.</p>

<p> The last thing on the agenda for the day was the JWC rules meeting. As you can see, Jon Stewart, B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Tournament Director, has their attention. The young anglers are having the experience of a lifetime. They don’t want to make mistake.</p>
