Kimberly Curbo wrote “My dad, Bob Curbo, of Brownwood, Texas, was the most determined fisherman and hunter. He would do anything to not lose a fish. Once, while setting the hook, he yanked back so hard that his chair folded under him, backward, causing him to land on his back, like a helpless, overturned turtle. He seemed to go down in slow motion, causing us swimmers in the lake to almost drown from laughing so hard! But he did NOT lose the fish! Dad's been gone almost three years now, but I still laugh out loud when I relive his going down in slow motion! I sure miss my fishing buddy.”

Darrell Goins writes “My sis came out from Ohio with her son to visit me and my two boys. We get to see each other once a year but during that time we spend together it seems something special always happens. This time my son Diego (pictured behind the bass, center my nephew Blake and right my other son Lucas) hooked into this lunker on his Spider Man fishing pole. Diego casted out and said,
Darrell Goins writes “My sis came out from Ohio with her son to visit me and my two boys. We get to see each other once a year but during that time we spend together it seems something special always happens. This time my son Diego (pictured behind the bass, center my nephew Blake and right my other son Lucas) hooked into this lunker on his Spider Man fishing pole. Diego casted out and said, “Papa I’m stuck.” I turned around to look at where his line was and saw the Spidey pole bent over, followed the line only to see this big mouth come out of the water! I was like Holy #@?! in my head because I didn’t know if Spidey pole was going to malfunction. I grabbed the Spidey pole from Diego and took him to the back of the boat where he could continue to fight this bass. Diego continued to fight this bass while I was coaching him and as soon as he got it near the boat I grabbed it by the lip and pulled it aboard the boat! Then we all celebrated!”

Jimmy Kelley wrote “I brought both of my daughter's fishing and they caught 17 of these slabs in about 45 minutes with princess poles doing a princess dance on the end of a dock. I couldn't even bait my hook they was catching them so fast. The only moment I enjoyed being out fished.”
