That is where Rojas set the B.A.S.S. record for Heaviest Single Day Catch (Five Bass Limit). The haul weighed 45 pounds, 2 ounces. Not surprisingly Kissimmee is one of Rojasâ favorite lakes.

Consistent. That single word describes the stellar career of Rojas. What laid the framework for his two decades of success happened early on at Lake Havasu, his favorite lake. âIt was a great training ground for me to learn a lot of different techniques, become a versatile angler.â Rojas moved there 18 years ago and lives there today. He placed sixth at the 2015 Elite Series event on his home lake.

Ranking second is a lake where Rojas has enjoyed success over the years. Two of his four B.A.S.S. wins came on the Toledo Bend. Those were the 2001 Louisiana Top 150 and the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series Battle on the Bayou. âThe lake has always been good to me. Iâve been in contention to win several other times, and Iâm really looking forward to going back this season.â

Third on the list is another place where Rojas has shined over the years. He won the 2008 Elite Series Championâs Choice on Oneida. âItâs just a great largemouth fishery, although it gets a lot of credit for the smallmouth. I like the layout of the lake for frog fishing.â

This oneâs a no-brainer, of course. On Lake Toho he experienced a history-making day on Jan. 17, 2001. That afternoon, Rojas pulled up on a spawning flat and wave after wave of 10 pounders appeared from nowhere. âThere is always a magical time on every lake where all the big ones will bite. That week happened to be the week.â That day, Rojas caught the five-bass limit weighing 45-2 and won with 108-12.

Falcon Lake, his fifth pick, has obvious overtones of his home lake. âI love the south Texas desert lakes. Knowing anybody can catch a 10-pounder is a special thing. I like the layout of Falcon since itâs lots like Havasu.â Rojas caught 73-12 to place sixth at the 2009 Elite Series Battle on the Border.
