The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every facet of our lives, including bass fishing. The rapid spread of the coronavirus prompted B.A.S.S. to reschedule the Elite Series tour soon after the early March 2020 Bassmaster Classic, forcing pro anglers to either shelter at home with their families or limit their fishing expeditions to day trips to nearby lakes. This sudden travel hiatus played havoc with Bassmaster’s editorial schedule as well, forcing cancellations of Day on the Lake outings that had been scheduled with Elite pros months earlier. Therefore, you won’t find a standard Day on the Lake feature for either the March issue or April issue.
