We spent a couple hours with Gerald Swindle in the afternoon.

It was another hot afternoon in Oklahoma, and Swindle drank water every time he would move.

He said he was looking for new areas that hadn't been fished as much...

...but that often meant long periods of time between bites.

...trying to maneuver his boat into places that hadn't been fished.

There were times he moved so deep into the cover we couldn't see him...

...as he grinded away without a bite.

But eventually the grinding would pay off, and he was hooked up with his best fish of the day.

...and gave us a quick look at a nice smallmouth he had caught earlier in the day.

As you can tell, his big fish was going to be a significant upgrade to what he already had in the box.
