Click here to continue 1 / 11 David Williams’ motivation to fish the 2014 Southern Opens started because Lake Norman, his home lake, was on the schedule. 2 / 11 Williams decided to fish the 2015 Southern Opens as well. 3 / 11 The 2015 Opens schedule took Williams back to Lake Toho to start his season in January. 4 / 11 The Bassmaster Elite Series season started at the Sabine River in Orange, Texas. 5 / 11 In Texas, Williams took home 16th, even after experiencing mechanical problems that limited his fishing on Day 1. 6 / 11 Next Williams went to Guntersville, where he was on a consistent 15 pounds per day. 7 / 11 But that only produced a 91st place finish because of how heavy the weights were. 8 / 11 After Guntersville, the Elites moved on to the Western swing. 9 / 11 Williams started it off with an 81st place finish on the Sacramento River, but he didn’t hang his head and pressed on to Lake Havasu. 10 / 11 Havasu was a much better event for Williams.
