“This is my son, Kyle,” said a proud dad who calls himself Turkey Slayer. “He caught three bass that day, and this was the biggest one — 3 pounds, 6 ounces. The look on his face when that rod was bent over bouncing like crazy was priceless. The trees were thick with mayflies, and many had fallen in the water and fish were eating them up, so we were throwing a shallow-running crankbait in the bugs.” The pair were fishing on Tennessee’s Watts Bar Lake in June 2011.
