UNC Charlotteâs Lehew and Self caught several fish off bed and blind casting a wacky rig this week.

Eric Self makes a cast.

Lehew and Self try to peer through the water early on Day Two.

Lehew fires a wacky rig out.

Set the hook.

Lehew boats flips a small fish.

Not the kind UNC Charlotte is looking for.

Back to the lake you go.

The gentleman in the blue Skeeter loaned UNCC his boat for the day and chose to follow along and try to root his friends to a win.

Lehew and Self return to the spot where Lehew foul hooked a 6-plus and released it on Day One.

Brian Mason is on the shot and waiting for the action.

UNCC had to leave the big bed fish alone for a while because she wouldnât eat. When they returned later in the day, a local was on the spot but politely moved along to allow Lehew and Self another shot.

Lehew focused for another 30-45 minutes on the fish hoping for another chance.

She finally gave in.

A battle royale ensued.

Sheâs not ready yet.

Lehew turns her.

After having his hands on her on Day One and having to release her, would she evade him again?

One last leap as Self readies the net.

Almostâ¦

What happens next?

In the net!

Finally! After 2 days and 3 hours, she finally resides with the boys from UNC Charlotte.

A shout rings out as Lehew can finally breathe again.

That could potentially be another Carhartt Big Bass for the duo. Their Day One 5-5 won yesterday⦠This oneâs bigger.
