Leeâs best finish was 4th at Sam Rayburn. The Alabamianâs low finish was 62nd at Ross Barnett. Not counting toward AOY points, but certainly worthy of mentioning was the win at the GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by DICKâS Sporting Goods.

Eversâ best finish was 16th at Lake Dardanelle, the final event prior to the break. The Oklahomanâs low finish was 56th at Cherokee Lake.

Laneâs best finish was 4th at Ross Barnett. The Floridianâs low finish was 87th at Toledo Bend.

VanDamâs best finish was 2nd at Ross Barnett. The Michigan proâs low finish was 62nd at Cherokee Lake.

Christie is off to a good start. He went into the break with a 2nd-place finish at Toledo Bend. Then he scored 7th at Sam Rayburn. The low score of 42nd came last March at Lake Okeechobee.

Davis is showing signs of the consistency needed to win a fourth AOY title. He went into the summer break after a 2nd-place finish at Lake Dardanelle. For all other events the Arkansas pro stayed inside the top 40.

Ashley is enjoying one of his best seasons. He finished 13th at Dardanelle and Rayburn, missing Championship Sunday by one spot. The South Carolina pro has three Top 20s, including a 4th-place finish at Toledo Bend.



Points: 513. Rank: 3.
Already three appearances at Championship Sunday, and consistency is the reason. Thatâs what it takes to win AOY. The Top 12s in February came at Cherokee, the first event of the season, and most recently at Dardanelle. Palaniuk at mid-season made the final cut at Toledo Bend, finishing 5th. He also won at Sam Rayburn.

Wheeler is on a hot streak after fishing three times on Championship Sunday. He won the first event of the season at Cherokee, followed up with a 10th at Toledo Bend and 3rd place at Sam Rayburn.



Points: 527. Rank: 1.
Never mind that DeFoe is the only angler in the top 3 without a win. What matters is consistency. The Tennessee pro has proven that thus far with three consecutive Top 12s, beginning with the first event at Cherokee. Heâs stayed inside the top 20 in four of the seven events held thus far.
