Fishing is often a game of ounces. In the case of the 2025 Yamaha Bassmaster Redfish Cup Championship at Port Aransas presented by Skeeter, it was a game of inches. Easton Fothergill and Clark Jordan Jr. dominated the first two days of the tournament. But on a ridiculously windy and difficult Championship Sunday, the duo brought back a redfish that fell outside the slot limit set by Texas Parks and Wildlife.
Anglers are only allowed to keep and weigh redfish that measure between 20 inches and 28 inches, and the redfish Fothergill and Jordan brought back to weigh-in just barely touched the 28-inch mark.
