BASS Opens Bigger and Better for 2009

In 2009, the top two competitors from each of three divisions will advance to the Bassmaster Classic and the top seven anglers in each will be invited to join the Bassmaster Elite Series.

The three pros who finish at the top of the points standings after Texoma will qualify for the 2009 Classic, Feb. 20-22 on the Red River out of Shreveport-Bossier City, La. The top 10 Central Open pros will be invited to advance to the Bassmaster Elite Series.

Reflections

With a breeze, the flag unfurled, and some of the Iraqi sands it once flew above floated over Clarks Hill Lake during this, the sunrise of National POW/MIA Recognition Day. I watched as the wounded warrior on the bass boat held the flag high into the wind.
