Terry Scroggins, My Best and Worst

See why 2007 was a great season for Terry Scroggins.

The best thing about the 2007 season for me was winning three tournaments, which included the Toyota Texas Bass Classic team tournament and two Bassmaster Southern Opens. I'm proud of the fact that I finished 4th in the Elite Series Angler of the Year points, too.

The worst thing about the 2007 season for me was the two big fish I lost at the Blue Ridge Brawl on Smith Mountain Reservoir that cost me the tournament. As for the one that got away this year that sticks in my mind the most … see above.

Those Smith Mountain fish really hurt. When I look back at the one lure that brought me the greatest amount of success it would definitely have to be a green pumpkin Yum Houdini Worm on a 3/16-ounce shaky head during the first part of the season. But if you'd let me pick two, I'd have to tell you the Big Show Craw in that Cooter Brown color was pretty good to me down the home stretch.

The best or most memorable meal I ate over the past 40,000 miles would be the night I ate with all my friends from Toyota at the Texas de Brazil steakhouse. As a matter of fact, I always pull up the in-dash GPS in my Tundra to get a list of all the local restaurants, and if there's a Texas de Brazil close by, then you can bet I'll try to eat there. I can't go there too often though, because it's pretty pricey.
