Faircloth in the running again

Todd Faircloth is an enigma of sorts when it comes to the top names competing on the Bassmaster Elite Series even more so when it comes to those vying for the top-12 Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year playoff.

My biggest fan

I can't say there is one trip or event that sticks out as extra special. My father's dedication and commitment to me and my goals are what is meaningful. I really owe my whole career to his encouragement and support. He was and still is instrumental in my having attained this much.

Quality, not quantity

My dad has never been much of a fisherman. I had a grandpa I hardly knew who I'm told loved to be on the water. The few fishing stories my dad tells are from times he was out with his father-in-law, my grandpa.

Mississippi River: How They Did It

The conditions were horrible on the Mighty Mississippi falling, muddy water and a venue that fished small. Still, the Elite Series anglers showed their stuff. They picked their way through woody, shallow water sloughs one pool north of the launch site with plastics and shallow running crankbaits to catch what they could on their way to winning performances.

Watching, reading, supporting

Like a lot of guys, I took up fishing on my own. My dad never cared for it and doesn't to this day. But I know I could not have gotten to where I am without his support and encouragement.
