Things are Tough … But Not All Over

ORLANDO: The annual International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades is more than just a trade show. It's a mixture of fun, function and folly. In addition to creating an opportunity for media and buyers to view (and in a few cases actually test) new products, it's also an opportunity to take the pulse of an industry that's been hit very, very hard in the past decade.

Getting With It at ICAST

ORLANDO Stroll down just a few of the aisles at the 2009 ICAST show in Orlando, and you'll quickly realize that fashion is not the exclusive province of Paris and New York. There's plenty of fashion right here in the fishing world ... if you'll just look for it.

Comeback Kid?

For a brief moment, Bobby Lane was one of the Top 12. A slip-up at Iowa sent him back down the ranks. Can he mount a comeback?

VanDam’s ICAST Lineup

Kevin VanDam views ICAST much like he views an Elite Series tournament or a Bassmaster Classic appearance. He's there to figure things out and to win. Showing up or finishing second has little or no meaning to this man.

Money spot

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — It was a familiar spot for Will White and Chris Wood of North Carolina State, even though they had never fished or even seen it prior to practicing for the 2009 Under Armour College Bass National Championship this week on the Arkansas River.

Redemption is Sweet

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. The old adage "Redemption is Sweet" fits perfectly after Day Two of the Under Armour College Bass National Championship.

Fishing heads up

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. The University of Louisiana - Lafayette had, in Cody McCrary's words, "just a horrible practice," on the Arkansas River as they prepared for the fifth annual Under Armour College Bass National Championship.
