Like most of you I've been thinking about the Classic. What I'd like to do over the next few weeks is talk about the venue, give you my thoughts about the anglers and then we'll see how I did.

Last week was really busy. I was in Florida doing training with Bass Pro Shops and Strike King, two of my sponsors. We were going over all the new products and offerings for the next year. That's an important obligation I have as a professional angler. I take it seriously.
Make room for another Alton Jones on tour. No, Jimmye Sue and I aren't having another child. Little Alton recently started fishing team tournaments out of his own boat.
Some guys look like they have it all, especially when it comes to bass fishing. Men like Rick Clunn, Mark Davis, Kevin VanDam, Skeet Reese and Aaron Martens seem to have a natural ability to find bass. It's like you could drop them in the middle of the lake blindfolded and they'd come back with five keepers.
2010 Bassmaster College Classic will be held on Logam Martin Lake in conjunction with the 2010 Classic on Lay Lake
This year, the winner of the College Bass National Championship will get a berth in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic.
"There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong choice in clothes." I've fished in the worst of all extremes. Even the basic choice of whether to go or not is paramount.
