Is it my turn yet?

I'm back in Columbus after three tournaments in three weeks. I got a check in two of them and should have had one in the third.

Good times in Alabama

Yesterday was a wonderful day for me and the rest of the anglers fishing the postseason. Each of us took a wounded veteran out on Lake Cameron for a fun-filled, bragging rights tournament called the Hope for the Warriors Tournament.

‘Oh Beautiful’

If you are alive, breathing, and can think, all you need to do is to look into the face of a warrior, wounded or not, active or not, and while the flag is high, and the sun is low, and the anthem plays, you will see in the eyes of those who were there this: Freedom hurts.

Russ Lane: Alabama River

It had to be special: Russ Lane coming from a four-way tie for last place in the Toyota Tundra Bassmaster Angler of the Year standings to within five points of winning the title to start this week's second, and final, event of the postseason on the Alabama River.

Off day for Elites

Monday's off day for the top 12 Elite Series anglers was anything but. The pros' had the Wounded Warriors, media interviews, and luncheon.

How-To

Looking better

Lake Jordan is history. I'm fairly pleased - not ecstatic but pleased. I accomplished the minimum of what I had to do. On Saturday morning, I was pretty far out, but as of this morning, I'm only seven points behind. That's doable, especially considering we're headed to the river for the next two days.
