Coverage of the 2011 Bassmaster Classic by ESPN2 will be aired Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 26-27, and again on Sunday, March 6.
Swindle’s big Win
In the 10 days since his first Bassmaster event victory, Gerald Swindle has been in demand. Every major Internet site has featured him, major newspapers have run pieces on him, radio interviewers are calling him. He has fielded hundreds of phone calls, voice mails and text messages from friends and fans.

Well, I just got back from Falcon Lake. I went down to pick up the motor home for the upcoming Elite season. Unfortunately, I didn't get to use it much last year due to the violence down there, but I was glad to see it was where I left it!

NEW ORLEANS; Fifty of the top anglers in the world will be at Mardi Gras World on Feb. 17 and available for one-on-one interviews. This exclusive media event comes the day before the 41st Bassmaster Classic is slated to begin on the Louisiana Delta.
Little A wins and Fayette County
As I mentioned in my last posting, Little Alton and I spent some time at Lake Amistad a couple weeks ago to prefish for his Bass Champs tournament there.
Scouting in Florida
I've been down here in Florida for a couple of days prefishing on the Harris Chain with my buddy Tom Frederick. We're really having a wonderful time catching up and catching a few fish.
Toyota’s Bonus Bucks program
Alton Jones' title of Bassmaster Classic Champion was only moments old when the folks from Toyota added an extra $7,500 to his half-a-million-dollar day. Six weeks prior to the Classic, Alton purchased a Toyota Sequoia, and quickly sent in his registration to be eligible for the brand new Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks contingency program. Confident, yet humble, it's doubtful Alton was counting on getting his first bonus check as a result of winning the Bassmaster Classic, but as the highest placing registered Tundra or Sequoia owner in a Classic field, that's exactly what happened.

Casey Ashley, the bass bustin' kid from rural South Carolina with the million dollar smile and the voice of an angel, bagged $3,000 worth of Toyota Bonus Bucks following his 16th place finish at the Bassmaster Elite Series event at the Harris Chain of Lakes in Florida.
