Mueller is proud of runner-up finish

Paul Mueller is not disappointed at all by his second-place finish in the Classic. He was honored to represent the Connecticut B.A.S.S. Nation so well.

How-To

How do I get more from my batteries?

If you fish from a boat, you've probably got several batteries in it. They take up space, add weight to your rig, and the best ones are not cheap. It's important to get value from them.

Was 2014 the best Classic ever?

The 2014 GEICO Bassmaster Classic presented by Diet Mountain Dew and GoPro just might be the best Classic ever, not counting the one I fished, of course (Ha!). It was for sure the most exciting.

A Classic dream come true

A lot has changed since I wrote my first column for Bassmaster.com. I guess you could say that is an understatement. Randy has won the Classic, and my world has done a complete 360!

Classic look back

You know, a positive mindset and confidence in your game plan goes a long way in guiding a fisherman through the pressures and challenges of tournament competition. From my recent experience at the 2014 GEICO Bassmaster Classic, I can tell you that these things also help you deal with the letdowns that are just part of life.

Randy will do us right

Randy Howell is our new champion. Bass fishing couldn’t have a better one, and he couldn’t have a better family to support him.

Mueller’s monumental comeback falls short

Twenty years ago, B.A.S.S. Nation champion Bryan Kerchal won the Bassmaster Classic on North Carolina’s High Rock Lake. This week, the Nation’s Paul Mueller, another son of the Nutmeg State, threatened to match Kerchal’s feat but ultimately fell short by a pound.

Howell listened to a voice

No one had ever come from as far back as 11th place to win the Bassmaster Classic on the final day before Randy Howell did it Sunday. Like everything that occurred over the three days of competition, Howell seemed to have a feeling it was going to happen.
