Check this out: During the 2016 Bassmaster Classic, Minn Kota is planning an innovative and creative campaign focusing on its bullet-proof, cable-steer motor, Fortrex, which is specifically created with the bass angler in mind.
The campaign theme is based upon a mug shot: This is one of the toughest motors on the planet and is wanted for questioning.
So what does this mean for you? When you visit the Minn Kota booth (No. 460) during all three days of the Classic, you’ll see a mug shot photo booth. Simply get your mug shot taken and then share the pic on Instagram and Twitter. You can also print a copy of your mug shot right there in the booth, or have the pic emailed to you. And in case you’re a bit late to the whole smartphone party, two iPads will be mounted to the mug shot photo booth with social media-savvy helpers who will be glad to help you share your pic with the world.
To ensure people share their picture via Instagram and/or Twitter, Minn Kota is offering an incentive – they’re giving away a new Fortrex motor every day of the show! To be eligible for the drawing, you must post your picture to any social-media account with the proper hashtag: #FortrexMugShot. At the end of each day, Minn Kota will randomly pick a winner by monitoring all who posted with the appropriate hashtag.
But it doesn’t end there. The mug shot campaign will extend right onto the 2016 Bassmaster Classic weigh-in stage. On one of the weigh-in days, Minn Kota will pick three people who have come through the mug shot photo booth that morning. These three finalists will have a chance to win a new Fortrex motor. How? Audience participation. That’s right – each finalist will have their mug shot shown on the big screen, then one winner will be chosen based upon who gets the loudest cheers.
