What is it?

Hobie H-Crate Jr. tackle management system

What sets it apart?

When it comes to tackle management systems for kayaks, it’s hard to beat the H-Crate. Bring your whole quiver; it features a quartet of rod holders with retention straps. Additional rod holders and other accessories can be easily added using the predrilled grid walls and four lengths of H-Rail. Skid pads on the underside dampen sound. Includes four adjustable nylon straps with clips to secure the H-Crate to your watercraft. The H-Crate is incredibly feature rich.

How do I use it?

Lightweight (6 pounds) and durable, the 17- by 14-inch H-Crate assembles using only a Phillips screwdriver. It disassembles easily too, to pack flat for jet-setting kayak anglers. Stash tackle trays and other gear inside; there’s an optional soft cover for extra security. Accessory H-Rail Tackle Bins snap right on for additional storage.

Angler’s insight:

Those looking for a versatile tackle management system for a smaller watercraft should consider the new H-Crate Jr. At 14 by 14 inches, and including all the same great features of its bigger brother, it’s ideal for stand-up paddleboards and those who want to leave a little extra deck space on their kayaks.
