Members of the California Basin Bassmasters worked together to teach anglers about invasive species and the destruction they can do.

Three to six volunteers worked together on each of several workshops, sponsoring them for the California Department of Fish and Game. Topics included an overview of the species, a history of their spread and preventive measures, such as inspecting boats and motors for hitchhikers so the population doesn’t spread to other fisheries.

The volunteers donated a total of about 36 hours.
