Bolten helps develop Trophy Catch

The new Trophy Catch program will provide valuable big-bass information.

Eamon Bolten, conservation director of the Florida B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, worked with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the development of the Trophy Catch program.

Trophy Catch will help record the number of large Florida-strain black bass that are caught.

“The information will be used to not only raise angler and public awareness of the outstanding bass fishing in Florida,” explained Bolten, “but it also gives the FWC vital fisheries management information on the numbers and sizes of Flroida-strain bass exceeding 10 pounds, data that to date has been unavailable.”

Bolten dedicated 20 hours to this project.
