College Station, Texas – Bassmaster Elite Series Pro James Elam has joined the McCain Hi-Performance Fishing Rods (MHP) team as a touring pro. The 29-year-old pro is an Oklahoma native and four-year Open Series veteran. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State University.

Elam represented MHP Rods in the 2016 Bassmaster Classic, having secured his spot among the world’s best anglers following the Bassmaster Central Open in September 2015. Since Tulsa played host to this year’s Classic, the hometown hero was a highly visible spokesperson for the MHP Rods team.

The addition of Elam to the MHP team was an easy choice, according to company founder Morgan McCain. “James’ tireless dedication to exceptional performance has brought him to the pinnacle of our sport. He joins the legendary Tommy Martin and Swamp People TV personality T-Roy Broussard on our team of world-class professionals, and we’re thrilled to have him aboard.”
