Tips to catch more bass flipping grass

Its no secret that flipping can generate heavy sacks of bass during the winter, when bass tuck into mats of vegetation for warmth. Of course, that means 90 percent of anglers head straight to the nearest mat and begin flipping like crazy. Bass quickly get accustomed to seeing lures coming through the vegetation, and bites get tough to come by.

I’ve learned a couple of tricks that have helped me win a lot of money here in Florida, and they can help you, too. During the months leading up to the 2019 Bassmaster Elite Series, I fished a lot of derbies, and I put no less than 25 pounds on the scales each time.
