Floss fix

I’ve read tips about keeping jig and spinnerbait skirts in place with wire ties, electrical tape, etc. I’ve used dental floss for this application for more than 20 years, and it works great! Unlike other skirt-repair materials, it won’t crack, rot or tear. Just pull off about a foot of floss, wind it around the skirt with five or six wraps, tie it off with a square knot, rotate the lure and tie it off again. Dental floss comes in 25-yard rolls, and one roll will easily do more than 75 baits. Keep a roll in your boat; you can easily replace a worn or torn skirt in less than two minutes. Use the heaviest waxed floss you can find for best results.
