The trouble starts when the anchor wedges between rocks or into immovable brush. Tie a good knot to the tripping ring. This will allow you to pull the claws free no matter what they’ve dug into.

Using two zip ties, attach the line to the eyelet on the other end of the anchor.

Snip off the excess length of zip tie and you are ready to anchor safely. <p> With a mechanism such as an Anchor Wizard that stows the anchor at either end of the boat, go ashore or reach the anchor with a boat hook to bring it aboard and attach new zip ties.
