You need to have a plan and â ideally â go out and practice. Throughout the process, keep your center of gravity low and in the middle of the kayak as much as possible. Photo: Dave Mull - With one motion, slide yourself across the yak, pulling with your arms, pushing with your legs and lying belly down on top so your weight is centered and evenly distributed.
