Pro angler Scott Martin liked the action of the original River2Sea Rover, but he made a few tweaks which earned him a $600,000 payday in the form of a tournament win with his hot rod bait. Now, River2Sea has incorporated Martinâs changes with this new Rover that is heavier in the tail to create a more exaggerated slashing and erratic action. A host of new colors are also available.

Luck âEâ Strike RC STX Mini
The RC STX jerkbait just got âminnowfiedâ â the smaller version retains the features of the larger RC STX, but in a 3 1/2-inch package. The color of the pictured bait is also new, itâs called black diamond. An internal weight transfer system ensures that you can still cast this diminutive jerkbait a good ways.

Luck âEâ Strike continued the downsizing trend to its Freak crankbait. The new Mini Freak sports the same unique bill that dives in a hurry, but measures 3 inches long (the body is 1 3/4 inch).

Livingston Lures Stickmaster
The Stickmaster is designed to excel in clear water situations. In the heart of these new lures is a proprietary internal sound chamber that emits a combination of sounds designed to attract fish and trigger aggressive, reactionary strikes. Advanced rattles inside the chamber send out underwater vibrations as the lures are worked, which are picked up by the lateral lines of predatory gamefish to draw them in for a closer look.

Biggie Biggie is the name of River2Seasâ newest family of square-bill crankbaits. Biggie Poppa has a 2 5/8-inch body, and Biggie Smalls is the 2 1/4-inch version. Each size is available in a fast floating version with a single solid rattle called Bumpinâ, and a slow floating silent version called Creepinâ. When allowed to float to the surface, Bumpinâ rises at around one foot per second, and Creepinâ rises at about half that speed giving anglers a crankbait for cold water situations.

As a diving bait, this wobbler will get down to 20 feet in a hurry. Once there, its built-in flash and hard slashing action are designed to draw attention from long distances. The Kinchou Minnow is available in four sizes and 12 colors.

Storm has several new hard baits for ICAST 2012, including the BX Minnow. This lipped jerkbait can be used in typical jerkbait fashion (jerk-jerk-pause) or can be steadily retrieved like a crankbait. Regardless of how you use it, it gives off a hard flashing look.

This new line of popping topwaters baits feature chameleon-like paint jobs thanks to ribbed bodies that are painted different colors on each side. The 3 1/2-inch bait weighs 3/4 ounce, which lends itself well to long casts.

Bagley’s is back and re-releasing the original square bill crankbait, the Balsa B. Its short, wide body has a rolling action that’s ideal for prompting reaction strikes. Three sizes and 10 colors are available.

Also being reintroduced is the Small Fry, balsa panfish and craw imitators.

Rick Clunn won the 1974 Bassmaster Classic on Alabama’s Lake Guntersville with this diminutive crankbait. It’s the same shape, consistency, look and finish as Cunn’s winning bait. Bagley”s is striving to replicate the famous actions and designs that made the brand so popular decades ago.

The Kill’R B is another classic design that has been resurrected.

The Blade Cross takes one of Lucky Craft’s most popular jerkbait bodies and adds a willowleaf blade to the chin, adding more flash. A ball bearing swivel ensures smooth rotation.

The Flash Pointer further modifies the famous Pointer body. An internal weight system transfers two weights fore and aft for better casting and erratic action.

The Gunfish has grown in 2012 to 135mm (5 1/2 inches) and weighs a full ounce. Those fish that always school just out of range just got in range.

As the name implies, this jointed topwater triggers bass to boil on it. At rest, it lays on its side giving off a baitfish profile. When worked, it pops and splashes. It’s four inches long and weighs 3/8 of an ounce..

Jackall has expanded the Aska square bill line to include 50- and 70-mm models.

Though it looks like a jerkbait, it sits in the water vertically like a pencil popper, and when worked, it dives onto a bowl-shaped indention on the “chin” and splashes. The bill then makes the bait dive and dart erratically. An internal weight transfer system makes long cast a breeze.

Spro has re-tuned the McStick jerkbait so it now runs 2-4 feet deep, and excels over shallow grass. It comes standard with three No. 5 Gamakatsu trebles, but according the Mike McClellan, you can make it suspend with three No. 4s. It has got a bigger profile

The Yarijirobee has a hard foam plastic skirted head. The loop enclosures that hold the swivels are welded shut, so there are no sharp edges which will cut down on hangups and tumbling. Ball bearing swivels are attached. It comes in a 3 and 5 arm version.

Originally designed for the saltwater market to catch redfish, the Drum Roller is great for bass, too. It weighs 5/8-ounce and comes in seven colors, four finishes and with three blade sizes (all Colorado).

This topwater bait puts a new spin on poppers. Rather than a popping face, the noise comes from the aft of this bait. when manipulate, the lip makes it dive several inches while the tail “pops” the water around it.

This might be the only wooden lipless crankbait you’ll ever see, but it might also be one of the coolest. It weighs 9/16 ounce, is 2.6 inches long and its most obvious feature is the spinner blade on the front. Think of it as half propbait, half lipless crank.

This popping topwater has a steel ball balanced on a spring inside the body. It moves within the body and quivers at rest. It measures 3 inches and weighs 5/8 ounce.

Megabass has improved the venerable 110 jerkbait by adding a lip that folds flat on the cast but pulls down to its normal position upon retrieve.

Following the adjustable lip vein, the Knuckle 60 can be a wake bait (with the lip vertical) or a standard square bill (lip angled). It can be put in three positions.

The Big Deep Cedar is designed to have realistic sound and movement and to stay in the strike zone longer. Like all Stanford Lures, the Big Deep Cedar is hand-painted and hand-tuned and made in the USA.

The Buster Bream is designed to sit in the water in a tail-down fashion. This prevents bass from “sucking” the bait in and missing it. That happens when the bait site horizontally and the buoyancy of the bait pulls it away from the fish. Like all Stanford Lures, the Buster Bream is hand-painted and hand-tuned and made in the USA.

From the maker of the original Alabama Rig comes the Alabama Rig IV featuring a plastic sleeve over the swivel, preventing the baits from rolling over and getting tangled.
