WHAT IS IT?

Redfin Sanibel Sunglasses

WHAT SETS IT APART?

The one-size-fits-all approach may work with most of our fishing gear, but it’s obviously not sensible for wearable items. We have multiple sizes in pants, shirts, jackets and footwear — why not sunglasses? That’s the idea behind Redfin’s new Sanibel model, which is designed specifically for anglers with a larger build. The key element here is the Italian sport frame designed to fit larger faces. The Sanibel sunglasses come with a zipper case, microfiber pouch, Redfin decal and Zeiss wipes.

HOW DO I USE IT?

The Sanibel frames are housed with heavy-duty, two-way stainless-steel hinges, which provide dependable strength and durability at the critical point of the frame, while ensuring a comfortable fit. Fully polarized nylon lenses manufactured by Carl Zeiss Vision include a coating that repels water, fog, sweat and oil, while an anti-scratch protectant helps resist abrasion. Available in Matte Black-Coastal Blue, Gulf Blue and Shallow Mirror. Colors coming soon: Hull Red, Tortoise Shell Mirror and Dark Shad Mirror.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:

On the water, headaches and fatigue can stem from sun exposure, dehydration and other factors, but often the culprit is an ill-fitting sunglasses frame. When frames are too tight, or they just sit funny, the constant irritation and discomfort distracts from the task at hand. Redfin offers larger anglers a way to avoid this with properly sized frames featuring no-slip, Megol rubber nose pieces and under-the-cap ear stems.
