WHAT IS IT?
NOCS Provisions Field Issue 42
WHAT SETS IT APART?
One look through these binoculars and it’s clear the optics are the star of the show. HiFi fully multicoated lenses deliver a bright, sharp image while reducing glare, and the premium BaK4 roof prisms provide excellent color and clarity, especially during the low-light hours of dawn and dusk. The 42mm objective lenses also gather more light than smaller 32mm models, giving you a brighter image and a wider field of view.

These binoculars are built to handle the outdoors just as well as they perform in it. The rugged, impact-absorbing housing offers a secure grip and feels solid in your hands, while built-in objective lens covers help protect the glass from scratches when not in use. An IPX7 waterproof rating and nitrogen-filled, fogproof construction ensure they keep performing through rain, changing temperatures and even accidental drops in the water.
Comfort is another strong point. Twist-up eyecups make it easy to find the right fit whether you wear glasses or not, making extended viewing sessions more enjoyable. To top it all off, they’re backed by the No-Matter-What Lifetime Warranty, giving you confidence to use them season after season without worrying about what the next adventure brings.
HOW DO I USE IT?
I personally haven’t used binoculars much in the past, but after spending some time with the Nocs, I’ve found they’re an incredibly useful tool to keep close by. I’ve been using them to spot distant landmarks and wildlife on recent trips, and I’ve been impressed with the sharp image quality and thoughtful design. The twist-up eyecups make it easy to find a comfortable viewing position, while the center focus and right-side diopter let you fine-tune the image for excellent clarity.
One of my favorite features is the grippy rubberized housing, which feels secure in your hands even when wet. The attached objective lens covers are another nice touch since there’s no chance of leaving them behind. With an IPX7 waterproof rating, you also don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain or accidentally dropping them in the water — they’re built to handle full submersion up to one meter for 30 minutes.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
I think these binoculars are going to earn a permanent spot in my bass boat. They’re perfect for getting a closer look at distant grass lines, shorelines, structure or even birds diving on baitfish before making a move. They can help you gather more information without ever firing up the big motor. Outside of fishing, they’re just as handy for hiking, road trips, vacations and wildlife viewing, making them a versatile piece of gear you’ll find yourself reaching for more often than you might expect.
