WHAT IS IT?
Plano EDGE Terminal 3600
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Plano took the familiar 3600 footprint and designed it to a new, techy level. The EDGE Terminal adds customization with 10 lift-out boxes for convenience and protection of contents. Plano put a lot of technology features into a small package with the EDGE Terminal. Dri-Lock O-ring seals maintain waterproofing when closed, and the reusable Water Wick divider with reusable moisture-wicking packet absorbs water from wet items. Rustrictor technology delivers rust-preventative protection throughout, a real plus for a box containing terminal tackle. For convenience, the DuraView crystal clear polycarbonate lid provides a full view of the inside contents. Topping it all off is a rugged design and beefed-up materials — including heavy-duty hinges — that make this one tough box.
HOW DO I USE IT?
You get to decide. Ten boxes-within-a-box of various sizes hold hooks and weights. Each box is easily removed by gripping each side of the indention with the thumb and forefinger. You can arrange the boxes to suit your needs, and switch them out to create a game day box if using multiple EDGE Terminals.
What I like about this setup are the removable hook retainer boxes. Those are ideal for storing beads, rattles, nail weights, swivels and other tiny components needed for today’s finesse rigs. The larger boxes are perfect for keeping hooks separated and organized. If I’m drop shotting, I’ve removed a box or two and kept those inside my pants pocket for quick access. Think Ned rig jig heads, drop-shot hooks and weights. What’s more — and this is for peace of mind more than anything else — nothing will spill out if the opened main box gets dumped. That’s huge considering how much terminal tackle this box can hold. I use multiple 3600s in this system. That means I can customize a main box for a specific fishing day by switching out the hook and weight retainers from other 3600s.
