Gear Review: Humminbird Solix Series G2

What is it?

Humminbird Solix G2

What sets it apart?

Humminbird advances its commitment to giving anglers a more complete picture of the water beneath them by giving its Solix unmatched integration capabilities with Minn Kota trolling motors and bolstering performance with new technologies like Mega Imaging+, which operates in the megahertz range with performance that’s three times greater than traditional 455 kHz frequencies. Extending imaging capabilities down 200 feet for Mega Down Imaging+ and 200 feet to each side with Mega Side Imaging+, this technology offers 20 percent more detail than Mega Imaging.

How do I use it?

Humminbird equips Solix G2 units with Dual Spectrum CHIRP sonar which shows individual fish, clearly identifies bait and structure and reaches greater depths. An impressive array of technology comes with a user-friendly interface and system, including Humminbird’s Cross Touch Interface, which allows anglers to operate the unit via touchscreen or keypad. A customizable screen allows up to four independent viewing panes. Solix G2 units come equipped with AutoChart Live technology that creates and saves structure maps on any body of water.
