With its new APEX series, Humminbird packages top-tier sonar and chart technologies with full networking capabilities and a full-HD 1920 x 1080 display for the pinnacle of clarity and detailed displays. Humminbird’s most advanced lineup to date, the APEX units offer more custom rigging options and larger screen displays than any prior releases. The design includes a dedicated channel for Humminbird sonar technology, including MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+, while a second sonar channel provides an independent connection for accessory 2D CHIRP transducers up to 2 kilowatts and includes Airmar transducer ID, which simplifies settings configuration for optimal sonar returns.

How do I use it?

Available in 13-, 16- and 19-inch displays, APEX units are built with a low-profile design and offer the choice of an included front mount in-dash kit or optional rear mount in-dash kit. All units include Humminbird’s Dual Spectrum CHIRP (2D) sonar and MEGA Imaging+ sonar built-in GPS and Humminbird Basemap provides chart coverage for the entire continental U.S. coastline and 10,000 inland waters.

A cool feature is the Cross Touch Interface, which allows the user to customize their APEX unit with options such as a personalized home screen, custom screen layouts, editable data readouts, multiple mapping options and integration with several Humminbird and Minn Kota products. The user then has the option of controlling the fish finder with the touchscreen or keypad. Cross Touch runs on a powerful dual core processor that provides fast intuitive control as well as customization of features.
