WHAT IS IT?
Great Lakes Finesse Stay-Pinned Spybait
WHAT SETS IT APART?
With this new hook configuration, anglers can fish with the confidence of knowing they have a higher likelihood of catching what bites. That’s particularly important when a fish bites at the end of a long cast, which usually goes hand-in-hand with the high-pressure, high visibility scenarios in which a spybait is commonly used. Measuring 2.75 inches and weighing 1/4-ounce, the Stay-Pinned Spybait sinks slowly with a bite-tempting shimmy. A Water-Through-Gill design enhances that motion while adding just enough resistance to maximize your ability to feel the bait. Offered in 11 colors, this bait is equipped with BKK Super Slide hooks.
HOW DO I USE IT?
As a lure category, spybaits have presented the classic good news/bad news premise: Lots of bites, but lots of lost fish. In its basic form, the spybait’s slender profile accented with twin props mimics a vulnerable baitfish with its subtle wobble, vibration and bubble trails. The problem arises when the violent shaking of a big fish hooked on small trebles ultimately sends the bait flying. Great Lakes Finesse remedied that problem by building the Stay-Pinned spybait with a patent-pending top breakaway hook.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
Great Lakes Finesse spent more than three years on this bait’s R&D process, with emphasis placed on its specific shape, weight and hook placement. The cool part about that breakaway top hook design is it’s positioned in such a way that it does not impede the bait’s balance. That means the Stay-Pinned Spybait maintains a perfectly horizontal track that brings it across the fish’s radar with that enticing and easily captured presence that’ll give you the opportunity to test the breakaway hook’s function.
