WHAT IS IT?
CrushCity Avatar Shad
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Debuting at ICAST, CrushCity’s new 4-inch swimbait is made of buoyant Super Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE), which combines rubber’s flexibility, extreme stretchiness and bouncy motion with a moldable consistency that yielded a uniquely diverse form. While most swimbaits rely solely on tail action, the Avatar Shad puts the entire segmented body to work. Also, the bait includes a stabilizing back fin and a molded bill that activates action from below.
HOW DO I USE IT?
CrushCity’s new creation puts on an incredibly lifelike display when rigged on a jighead or a weighted wide gap hook. The bait sways and wiggles with a convincing sashay, but there’s much more to this bait. Let the Avatar Shad fall to the bottom and hop it along the sand or rock and it convincingly mimics a feeding minnow or bream. Taking the ruse a step farther, this bait performs well as a bladed jig trailer when you want maximum motion. Offered in 13 colors.

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
Fishing pressure is as high as it’s ever been, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. So fooling the big, experienced bass requires crafty presentations with convincing baits. The Avatar Shad checks those boxes with a bait engineered for attention.
An integral element of the overall package is the Smart Injection Technology, which allows for specific control over the volume and placement of the salt, color and flecks. This means each individual bait remains consistent in both action and appearance. So, when you’re on that hot bite, or if you’re trying to fool a particular blob on live sonar, each Avatar Shad’s will perform as expected.
