WHAT SETS IT APART?
Finding the right pair of fishing sunglasses comes down to a few key things: premium lenses, all-day comfort and durability. Before trying the new Bollé Airfin and Airdrift, I hadn’t seen many Bollé sunglasses in the fishing world, but these quickly proved they’re serious contenders.
The Airfin and Airdrift share the same performance features, with the biggest difference being fit. The Airdrift has a slightly larger, more squared lens shape, while the Airfin offers a more streamlined profile.
Both models weigh just over an ounce, making them incredibly lightweight and comfortable enough to wear from takeoff to weigh-in. They’re built specifically for harsh marine environments, with Thermogrip rubber nose pads and temple tips that become even grippier when wet. This helps keep the glasses securely in place while running the boat or making repeated casts.
Integrated side fins help block distracting side glare, while Bollé’s polarized VOLT+ lenses enhance color contrast and make subtle details beneath the water easier to see. Whether you’re picking apart grass lines, rock transitions or isolated cover, the lenses provide excellent clarity and glare reduction.

I also like the sporty styling, which helps them stand out from many traditional fishing sunglasses without sacrificing performance. They’re available in four frame colors — Grey Matte, Black Matte Acid, White Matte Navy and the Black Matte version shown here — so there’s an option to fit just about anyone’s style.
HOW DO I USE IT?
These are easily some of the lightest sunglasses I’ve ever worn. They’re so comfortable that it’s easy to forget they’re even on, which is exactly what you want during a full day on the water.
The polarized VOLT+ lenses make it easier to spot fish, grass edges, rock changes and other underwater details while reducing eye fatigue throughout the day. The high contrast is the main focus of these lenses to make every detail pop.
My favorite feature, though, is Bollé’s Air Float technology. Built into the frame, it allows the sunglasses to float horizontally if they end up in the water, making them much easier to retrieve. After losing more than a few pairs of sunglasses to the bottom of the lake over the years, that’s a feature I can definitely appreciate.
