WHAT IS IT?
Bajio Cocho
WHAT SETS IT APART?
Facial coverage takes precedence with Bajio’s Cocho frames. This XL design measuring 140 mm wide and 59.5 deep provides superior eye protection in super-bright conditions. Bajio takes comfort seriously, as evidenced in the Cocho’s rubberized temple tips, which minimize slipping, along with vented rubber nose pads. Another cool feature is the removable sun shields, which further reduce light intrusion. This convenient design works in concert with the Cocho’s sun ledges built into the upper and lower frame edges. Blocking glare, this design feature prevents peripheral light from sneaking past the frames.
HOW DO I USE IT?
Bajio offers lightweight polycarbonate lenses and more durable glass options. Both utilize proprietary Lapis technology to create extreme clarity by blocking 95% of blue light, which is known to cause eye strain and blurred vision. Also blocking 90% of harsh yellow light and 100% of UV light, Bajio’s lenses are finished with an oleophobic coating. This helps maintain clarity by repelling water, fingerprints, skin oil and sunscreen residue, all of which can cause vision-blocking smudges.
HOW MUCH?
$219 – $269

ANGLER’S INSIGHT:
Along with producing high-quality eye protection, Bajio maintains a strong commitment to reduced carbon impacts and sustainable practices. For starters, Bajio frames are made from durable bio-based nylon. Also, the company’s frames, lenses, cases and hats contain no PFAS (aka “forever chemicals”), which break down slowly and often threaten water, soil and air contamination. Moreover, Bajio packages its sunglasses in cases made of sustainable cotton covers with a leather lining, while shipping uses paper packing filler, 100% recycled boxes printed with algae ink and paper-based tape with no plastic fiber.
