Low, high water views of Pickwick

See the exposed bottom structure in play this week at Pickwick Lake in this gallery shot prior to last year's Bassmaster Elite Series event.

March 18, 2021. This photo was taken two days before the starting date of the 2021 Guaranteed Rate Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake.
The Tennessee Valley Authority had lowered the river level to well below normal pool for that time of year. Just two days later, the river would reach flood stage, forcing a two-day postponement of the tournament start.
Fast forward to June 3, 2022. This is the same view of Koger Island, on Day 2 of the Whataburger Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake.

The key to this series of photos is to show the exposed river ledges, bars, ditches and other bottom irregularities that are now inundated and in play during the 2022 event.
This exact spot had a tournament boat on it when the photo was taken on June 3, 2022.
