Locking through the Tenn-Tom

Get a view of takeoff and locking process and the boats headed south on Day 2.

It’s 6:40 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at the Day 2 takeoff for the Mountain Dew Bassmaster Elite at Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway.
The boats are beginning to arrive at Columbus Marina from the nearby East Bank Launch for the 7 a.m. takeoff.
Flying conditions were ideal! Calm skies for high-altitude wide angle shots of the entire scene.
A special treat is coming up. You’ll get a bird’s-eye view of the locking process above and below the John C, Stennis Lock and Dam. I flew outside the flight restrictions area and had approval of the lock master. All flying was done within legal FAA limits. Enjoy!
