Flying high over Taylor Bayou

Get a bird's-eye view of the habitat in play at Taylor Bayou.

it’s 7:10 a.m., or about 40 minutes after official takeoff time for Day 1 of the MAXAM Tire Bassmaster Elite at Sabine River.
It takes that long to travel from the takeoff location in downtown Orange, Texas, around the fringes of the Gulf of Mexico, and up into this bayou.
As I was flying the drone, I lost count after about 40 boats. My boat driver said Taylor Bayou has clearer water than surrounding areas, which is a key reason why so many boats passed beneath this bridge.
This gallery gives you an idea of the habitat in play, as most anglers were flipping and pitching baits at isolated cover.
